Short Term Housing presents you with five of the most incredible lakes in the world!
1. Plitvice Lakes

Plitvice Lakes National Park is the oldest national park in Southeast Europe and the largest national park in Croatia. The national park was founded in 1949 and is home to some of the most incredible lakes and waterfalls in the world!
2. Spotted Lake

Beautiful and looking as though it sprung up from a science fiction novel the spotted lake is undeniably one of the most incredible lakes in the world. Containing one of the world’s highest concentrations of minerals, including magnesium sulfate, calcium and sodium sulfate, the lake’s mud is used by residents of Okanagan Valley to heal aches and pains.
3. Kelimutu Crater Lakes

The very definition of incredible! Perched atop a stratovolcano in Flores you will find three crater lakes: Tiwu Ata Mbupu, Tiwu Nuwa Muri Koo Fai and Tiwu Ata Pol. Each lake has its own unique look and chemical makeup.
4. Boiling Lake

The Boiling Lake is located in the Morne Trois Pitons National Park, Dominica’s World Heritage site. It is a flooded fumarole, or hole in the earth’s surface. It is filled with bubbling greyish-blue water that is usually enveloped in a cloud of vapor.
5. Peyto Lake

This is a famous one. You’ll find it glittering prettily on nearly each Canadian post card! The waters of Banff National Park’s Peyto Lake are a brilliant turquoise more often associated with warm-weather paradises like Antigua and Bora-Bora.
